Lace Bits - Save the Dates:

Feb 7 - Jun 28, 2026

Mulyana: Vital Ecosystems transforms the museum into an imaginative underwater landscape inspired by Indonesia’s stunning coral reef ecosystem. This immersive installation of hand-knit and crocheted sculptures by acclaimed fiber artist Mulyana (b. 1984, Bandung, Indonesia) highlights the beauty and precarity of the ocean and our relationship to it.

IOLI Convention - Public Day

FREE and open to ANYONE AND EVERYONE! Bring your family! Bring your friends! Spend a couple of hours viewing the AMAZING works of art our teachers produce!! Visit our Vendor Hall…oh, so MANY goodies!!! Visit our Display room where lacers display their work.
Are you a “crafty” person? Maybe you’re not but want to see something different AND FREE!
Come one. Come all! You’re invited to the 71st annual International Organization of Lace, Inc. (I.O.L.I.) Public Day. Hosted by I.O.L.I. and the Music City Lacers. Entry is free.
Imagine: Enter into a kaleidoscope-fantasy entryway with July 4th balloons EVERYWHERE. Smell the popcorn, hear the music. Then as you walk along the aisle, view the Bobbin Lace, Tatting, Knitting, and SO MUCH MORE. Teachers (20+ teachers from so many different lace disciplines) displaying their designed and worked art pieces.
Proceed into the vendor room where there is something for everyone; books, tools, finished items for sale, mementoes, jewelry…oh, so much more!!! Then, when you can tear yourself away from all the goodness, proceed out the door down to where you can partake of a bag of popcorn and a glass of lemonade. REMEMBER: only the first 50 get the free popcorn and lemonade.
Maybe then, you follow the signs to the display room where people have set up displays for their art. Spend some time here and marvel at the talent, the colors; the DIVERSITY of lace.
Come early!! Stay Late!!! We hope to see you there.
Events to see: The Teacher Showcase, the Vendor Hall, and the Display Room. So much to see. So little time to see it in!!
WHEN: July 5th, 2024, 6p.m. to 9p.m.
WHERE: Franklin Marriott Cool Springs Hotel
700 Cool Springs Blvd
Franklin, TN USA
