Lace Samples

Small Lace Samples are needed for
Lafayette Lacemaker cards.

Please keep on creating small lace samples, for the cards, handed out at lace demonstrations .... and turn them in at monthly meetings.

Feast:  Lace samples need to be 'period correct' so be conscious of color + don't get too fancy w/patterns.

As always, keep track of your volunteer hours and turn in those hours at the monthly meetings.

Meeting Announcements

Our next meeting will be an introduction to Spanish Hinojosa tape lace, also called WitchStitch. It was founded in 1929, in the small village of Hinojosa del Valle, Spain. No previous history of this lace has been found.

It uses a small number of bobbins (8-10 pr) and there are similarities with some of the Milanese braids. Members: Watch for email with additional information / details.
