announce the lace contest theme.

"Lace on the Prairie"

The richness of Iowa and life on the American prairie is calling you for 2015. With the use of at least one colored thread, be inspired by this beautiful part of the country.
Your inspiration can come from the amber waves of grain, the indigenous people of the area, the beautiful wildflowers or the unique prairie animals.
Be inspired by this wonderful part of the country as you explore the contest theme of
"Lace on the Prairie"

Lace Challenge Guidelines

The challenge is open to any lacemaking technique and to all members of Lafayette Lacemakers. The Theme of the Lace Challenge is Jewelry. There is no time window on when items were made. Items must be made by the person submitting. The challenge is open to any lacemaking technique and to all members of Lafayette Lacemakers. Items may be original designs or patterns from published sources. For items made from published sources, reference to the pattern source must accompany each item. There is no limit on the number of items one person may enter in the challenge. We will display items submitted to the challenge in one of the display cabinets at the West Lafayette Public Library. The date when we can get the display cabinet will determine the deadline for the challenge. note that, due to space limitations, all items submitted to the challenge might not be displayed at the library.
